Service Description
ANODIZING
We certify compliance to all revisions of MIL-A-8625 (MIL-A-8625F is the active revision). We offer MIL-A-8625 Type II, Class 1; MIL-A-8625 Type II, Class 2 COLORED; MIL-A-8625 Type III, Class 1 and MIL-A-8625 Type III, Class 2 COLORED. We specialize in color anodizing, and offer special color matching services to ensure an exact and consistent match to your requirements using our METALAST® computerized anodize control and RoHS-compliant dyes. Our dedicated masking department can meet the most exacting selective anodizing requirements. For corrosive environments, we offer both hot DI seal and nickel acetate seal as a post-anodize option.

In addition to our experience with military and industry specifications, we are an approved supplier to Lam Research including critical part anodizing per LAM 202-2574-1; clear anodizing per LAM 202-002950-001; black anodizing per LAM 202-090140-001; and hard anodize (hard coat) per LAM 202-091770-001. We are an approved supplier of anodizing to Loral Space Systems E88-3009; to Beckman Coulter DD3009; to New Focus 01-005; to Princeton Instruments 15386-A-SP; to Rockwell Collins 580-0008; to Icore D000002; to Titan M357500098 and others. We are compliant with ASML GSA 08 2410.

Whether your job is done to the most stringent aerospace, semiconductor or medical specifications, or is a fast-turn, rack-and-run job, you will benefit from our anodize process control which includes careful, lot-by-lot acceptance testing and monthly testing for corrosion resistance (salt spray), coating weight and abrasion resistance (taber test).
CHEMICAL FILMS
(ALODINE)

We offer Mil-Spec and RoHS-compliant chromate conversion coatings (aka chem film, chemical film, and alodine). We certify compliance to all revisions of MIL-C-5541 and the successor MIL-DTL-5541 (MIL-DTL-5541F is the active revision). We offer MIL-C-5541, Class 1A; MIL-C-5541, Class 3; MIL-DTL-5541 Type I, Class 1A; MIL-DTL-5541 Type I, Class 3; MIL-DTL-5541 Type II, Class 1A (RoHS-compliant) and MIL-DTL-5541 Type II, Class 3 (RoHS-compliant). We also offer certification to ASTM B921 Class 1A and ASTM B921 Class 3 RoHS-compliant chemical conversion using trivalent chromium. All hexavalent chemical conversion coatings are offered in both clear and gold color.

We are an approved supplier for Anafaze 21792-00; Honeywell 9904151; L3 Communications SCS-0075; Loral Space Systems E88-3008; Narda 41031402 and Rockwell Collins 580-0036. Process control testing includes monthly corrosion resistance (salt spray) and adhesion (wet tape). We have a hoist line and large part capacity.
BLACKENING
We certify compliance to all revisions of MIL-DTL-13924 (MIL-DTL-13924D is the active revision). In addition to MIL-DTL-13924 Class 1 for steel and MIL-DTL-13924 Class 4 for stainless steel, we also offer the black oxide process on copper and copper alloys (e.g. brass, bronze) and certify to the MIL-F-495 specification. Our black oxide is guaranteed black and meets optical standards. Cupric carbonate is also available.
MASKING
Full-time, full-capability Masking department utilizes an extensive variety of standard masking devices and materials. Proprietary Precision Masking Capability provides repeatable compliance with non-standard masking dimensions and requirements.
PASSIVATION
We offer certification to AMS 2700 Method 1 Nitric Passivation: Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Type 4, and Type 6 and AMS 2700 Method 2 Citric Passivation (AMS 2700 supersedes AMS QQ-P-35 and QQ-P-35C, but we still offer certification to the superseded specifications). We certify compliance to QQ-P-35 Type I; QQ-P-35 Type II; QQ-P-35 Type III; QQ-P-35 Type IV; and QQ-P-35 Type VI. We also certify to ASTM A967-13 Citric 1 and Citric 2; ASTM A967-13 Nitric 1 and Nitric 2; and ASTM A380-13 Table A2.1, Part II, Codes F, G, H, I, and J.

We are an approved vendor to Boeing P.S. 13001; Honeywell 9904301; Icore D000002; Lam Research LAM 202-90181-1; Loral Space Systems E88-3017.

Our process control program includes lot-by-lot acceptance testing and regular testing of all chemical baths and operating parameters to ensure that these acidic baths will effectively passivate your parts without risk of damage.
TEFLON® COAT
Unlike "impregnation" processes, our Teflon® bonding process produces a continuous layer of Teflon bonded to the anodized part surface, providing significantly greater lubricity and corrosion resistance. Our Teflon® bonding process is superior to "Teflon Impregnation". Since Teflon particles are much larger than the pore diameters in anodize coatings, Teflon impregnation only yields a layering of Teflon in the depression irregularities of the anodized surface. We offer certification to MIL-A-63576, Type I.
COPPER
We offer certification to MIL-C-14550 Class 4 (MIL-C-14550B is the latest revision). We employ copper as an underplating for black oxide on brass parts.
OTHER
SERVICES

The following services are offered to enhance applicable metal finishing processes: precision masking; bead and grit blasting; baking; and special inspection & testing to your requirements. We certify bead blasting to ASTM A380-88, Paragraph 6.2.8.
